FarmView Studio is located in beautiful Central Massachusetts on a 5 acre private farm estate. Housed in a 40x60, 100-year-old post and beam barn, FarmView lives up to it’s name with cows and horses right across the street. As a long time private studio FarmView has enjoyed 25 years of anonymity and it just might be the best studio you never heard of!
FarmView Studio was built by Bill Ryan a 40+ year veteran of the Rock ‘n Roll wars. Bill was a key figure in the history of Long View Farm a nearby famous residential studio that has since closed. He is also well known for mixing famous 80’s bands like ‘til Tuesday, the Outfield and Boston.
Bill has worked with a multitude of artists from Bad Brains to Lionel Richie over the last 40+ years. He is known for Production, Engineering, Live FOH Mixing, Studio Design, Acoustic Consulting, Microphone Design and Analog Gear repair and modifications. Bill recently designed the new live entertainment complex for TreeHouse Brewery in Deerfield, MA, as well as several area clubs and studios. Not to mention the 10+ years Bill spent designing microphones for Telefunken Elektroakustik.
Needless to say what we have here is a studio built by an engineer’s engineer. But the best thing about it is that it was built as a home studio. It’s not a glitzy intimidating place, as a matter of fact it’s more like a musical tree house. Relax, enjoy your creative time, feel like your home or in your rehearsal space. You want analog?
